Tips For The Week Beginning March, 1st
I love to talk about ways to build web site traffic since I am always trying to come up with ways to build traffic at my new web site. Money-At-Home.Com has only been around since June of 1998, which is about the same time I started using the Internet! My web site is growing as my knowledge grows, with web site traffic growing simultaneously. If you are following my web site tips weekly than you will start to see your traffic grow, I am. Check out my home page hit counter, I put it up on February 27, 1999 at 9:30 p.m., I received well over 1500 hits to the home page in 2 days alone! That is good for a new web site that uses mostly free advertising.
This week's tip is about webmasters writing articles for newsletters and other web sites. This has been something I had put off for months, I never thought I could write anything helpful or have any specific knowledge to provide. Than after a writing a small article for my Weekly Biz Tips, I decided to submit it to some newsletters related to my web site content, and a web site that was looking for articles. I am happy to say that my article about reciprocal links was accepted in a couple of newsletters, one due out soon, and at another home business related web site. Writing articles and offering them for public use is a great way to gain exposure for you and your web site. Most authors have a paragraph at the end of their article often called a resource box that tells who they are, their contact information, and their web site address. Many Internet marketing experts consider writing articles a great way to gain credibility and exposure.
To get started is easier than you think, if you are subscribed to
newsletters, check to see how you can submit your article, many newsletters have a link or
e-mail address specifically for article submissions. Write about what you know from
experience and first hand knowledge. Submit your articles to places requesting articles
relating to your area of interest and expertise. That's what I did, I was hesitant at
first, but I am glad I pushed myself. Now my small article about reciprocal links that
begin right here at Andrea's Weekly Biz Tips will be seen by thousands all over the
Internet! That's just one article. I will be submitting more! Oftentimes it pays to
push yourself and try to do things that you never thought you could do. More often than
not things always work out for the best!
