Mailing lists (not to be confused with the kind of mailing  list Money-At-Home.Com has) are communities of people formed around a topic of common interest, and have been around since the beginning of the Internet. A mailing list allows people to send email to each other easily. Instead of emailing everyone on the list, subscribers of a mailing list can send their email to one address, which will then automatically send the message to everyone else.
There are thousands of mailing lists on the Internet. Mailing lists can have messages sent to a group moderator and then automatically sent to all subscribers of the list.
Programs that collect and distribute e-mail messages to the subscribers of an e-mail list are called  Mailing List Managers.

Cons Of Joining Mailing Lists!

Once you join a mailing list group there is no doubt that you will be getting tons more e-mail than you may ever dreamed you wanted.  I joined and it seemed as if everyone is just out to sell their goods and not really reading my stuff, but maybe that is just me. I am a free-a-holic, and I love to use free publicity! When I joined Debt Zapper ( which I am now no longer involved with), one of their reps mentioned posting to listservers, when I heard the words "free advertising" I signed up for a few. See how you like it, for me the response was mediocre! But for you, it may be a lot better!
